EGYPTAIR MAINTENANCE & ENGINEERING

OMAN Air, the Omani national carrier, has selected EGYPTAIR MAINTENANCE & ENGINEERING to provide line maintenance for its fleet.

The two parties have signed a contract whereby EGYPTAIR MAINTENANCE & ENGINEERING will provide line maintenance to the Muscat- based carrier's fleet in Dammam.

Noteworthy, EGYPTAIR MAINTENANCE & ENGINEERING, an EASA & FAA approved company, is one of the biggest MRO providers in the Middle East and around the world.

Etihad Airways – the national carrier of United Arab Emirates – has signed a three year contract for line maintenance with EGYPTAIR MAINTENANCE & ENGINEERING.

The maintenance is expected to take place in EGYPTAIR MAINTENANCE & ENGINEERING's station in Riyadh, Saudi
Arabia.

Noteworthy, EGYPTAIR MAINTENANCE & ENGINEERING is one of the biggest MRO providers in the region, and it is an EASA and FAA approved organization.

President Hosni Mubarak has opened EGYPTAIR Engine Overhaul Complex accompanied by a high-level delegation of ministers, Air Marshal Ahmed Shafik, and a group of EGYPTAIR & Civil Aviation chairmen and seniors.

Mubarak reviewed different production lines in the giant workshop complex including the state-of-the-art engine repair technology, such as assembly and disassembly lines, chemical cleaning, crack inspection, static and dynamic balance control equipments, high-tech measure devices, chemical analysis labs, automatic repair equipments and all
other devices recommended by manufacturers.

The complex is equipped with the latest wastewater treatment lines, where chemical operations outputs are to be treated to protect the environment.

The complex also has a technical publication department dedicated to engine manuals regular update and indexing engine - related documents.

The workshop capacity is 12 engines that can be inducted at the same time; hence it can repair about 75 engines annually as it is prepared to maintain the majority of engines powered by Airbus and Boeing.

The total cost of the project is 500 million L.E, manned by more than 170 employees including 50 engineers and 75 technicians who received high-level training by the biggest engine maintenance companies such as Rolls –Royce and Lufthansa Technik.
