The Uzbek Havo Yollari National Airlines received a second Airbus A320 today.

The aircraft was transported from Hamburg, Germany, the company reported.

The company's first A-320 arrived in Uzbekistan in July.

Havo Yollari expects to receive a third such aircraft in September.

The airlines will receive a total of 10 A320s in 2010-2011.

Havo Yollari also plans to buy four Boeing-767s and two Boeing-787 Dreamliners.

The purchases are funded by Havo Yollari (10 percent), an Uzbek Fund for Reconstruction and Development loan (50 percent) and loans from foreign banks (40 percent).

The company will also receive four Boeing 767-300ERs with PW 4062 engines worth $347.6 million in 2012-2013, four A-320-200s with CFM-56-5B engines worth $190.9 million in 2013-2014, and two Boeing 787-800 Dreamliners with GENX-1B64 engines worth $230.4 million in July-August 2016.

Based on a contract signed earlier with the Chkalov Tashkent Aircraft Construction Plant, Havo Yollari will receive two additional Il-114-100s in the coming year - the first in late 2010 and the second
in early 2011. Currently, the airline has five Il-114-100s.

The A320 consumes half as much fuel as the Tu-154.

The aircraft also weighs less, and sports a triple backup of all its systems.

Havo Yollari is Uzbekistan's exclusive air carrier. The company is state-owned.
