TECHNICAL NOTES :
Armament: Two .50-cal. machine guns with 600 rounds each in the tail and 25 photoflash bombs (for aerial photography at night). Many RB-45Cs were modified to eliminate the tail gunner position
Engines: Two General Electric J47-GE-13 of 5,820 lbs. thrust each and two General Electric J47-GE-15 axial flow turbojets and 6,000 lbs. thrust each; Optional Assisted Take Off (ATO) rockets were two Aerojet XLR13-AJ-1 of 4,000 lbs. thrust each with 60-second duration
Maximum speed: 570 mph at 4,000 ft.
Cruising speed: 506 mph (combat speed)
Range: 2,500 miles with tip tanks
Service ceiling: 40,250 ft.
Span: 89 ft. 0 in. (96 ft. with tip tanks installed)
Length: 75 ft. 11 in.
Height: 25 ft. 2 in.
Weight: 110,000 lbs. (gross weight)
