A C-5B Galaxy receives maintenance Friday, March 19, at Westover Air Reserve Base.
The aircraft received maintenance on two of its engines at the same time, which is a rare maintenance occurrence,

An oversized Navy asset is loaded onto a Westover C-5 in November.

U.S. Marines load a CH-53 helicopter onto a U.S. Air Force C-5 here on Camp Lemonier, Djibouti, Jan. 29, 2009.
The helicopter was assigned to Combined Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa and was supporting Search and Rescue missions and Medical Civil Action Programs here in the Horn of Africa.
The Marines were deployed from Marine Corps Station New River, NC, and the Air Force C-5 and crew were from Westover Air Reserve Base, MA.

A Westover C-5 is marshalled into position during the 2000 Rodeo at McChord Air Force Base, Wash.
This year, members of the 439th Airlift Wing will return to McChord for the 2007 Air Mobility Command Rodeo competition, scheduled for July 22-28.

LAUGHLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Texas -- Members of the 920th Rescue Wing from Patrick Air Force Base, Fla., unload one of three HH-60 Pave Hawk helicopters here Sept. 23.
A C-5 Galaxy crew from Westover Air Reserve Base, Mass., delivered members of the search and rescue wing to
pre-position the helicopters in response to Hurricane Rita, which is expected to hit landfall Sept 24.
Two additional Pave Hawks from Davis-Monthan AFB, Ariz., flew here Sept. 22 to support hurricane relief efforts.

WESTOVER AIR RESERVE BASE, Mass. -- Tech. Sgt. Michael Vogt de-ices a C-5 Galaxy before a flight. A New England cold snap unloaded more than a foot of snow here. Sergeant Vogt is assigned to the 439th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron.
